The Chief Executive Officer of Okakarara Town Council, Mr. Ernst Katjiku, has expressed appreciation to the National Housing Enterprise (NHE) for finalizing preparations for the upcoming housing development at the town. The project, which is expected to be launched in September 2024, will deliver 52 housing units comprising of 1 – 3 bedroom houses. He was speaking during NHE’s courtesy visit to the Council on Thursday, 22 August 2024.

“We are excited about the project, it is our belief that the project will bring the much-needed development and employment in our town,” said Katjiku, adding that NHE’s footprint in Okakarara has grown significantly over the past few years.

The NHE delegation, led by the Executive: Sales and BD, Mr. Alex Anguwo visited the leadership of Okakarara to brief them on the status of the envisioned project and other housing related matters. The meeting was attended by the Mayor, Hon. Samuelline Ngairo and other local authority councillors. The 52 houses are being sold on a first-come-first-serve basis following the exhaustion of the NHE waiting list in Okakarara.
